It has been a bit more than 21 years since this me was born on the 7th day of a beautiful December in the "Sarkar" ( the family title) family in a tiny little insignificant village called Mondalpara of the stae of West Bengal in India. There was nothing unusual about the birth except the fact that the mother after having given birth to this me was left on the delivery bed for about an hour unattended as people were more interested in this new bulged eyed ,rocket headed baby which was trying really hard to take in this new feel of a less watery ambiance. They say he didn't cry much .The loving and wise daddy took care of the mommy and it was a time to celebrate this new arrival, the nurses were given some amount and a sari each and as it generally happens, sweeties were distributed among all the people, doctors and other members of the hospital.
"So lets begin with the naming" someone said... "oh wait we need to consult the sadhus and the priests before we name the child"... well it was decided that according to his stars and other heavenly factors the name of the child should start with a "D"... the uncle of the child came forward with a name : Dwaipayan Sarkar. so be it.
me was named Dwaipayan Sarkar. Dwaipayan was the other name of Veda Vyas, a great sage who had written the gigantic awe-inspiring Mahabharata (a Hindu epic). Not that the child would ever inherit any of those great qualities that this great sage had but what the heck... the family was happy with a little Dwaipayan.
So this me was healthy and naturally grew without any physical deformities (don't know much about his mental state though). This me was damn lucky to have parents who loved him a lot ,cared for him and above all tried to teach him things more important than just A B C D.. and 1 2 3 4... things that shaped him and made him a bit different from others (well at least ME thinks so). His father Mr Manoj Kumar Sarkar was a cool going x-army fellow, a trained boxer, a man of his word, a man who would accept all that is real and face it head-on. Daddy never said a thing that he wouldn't follow himself and yes of course little me was so so soooo inspired and dad was definitely me's hero.He was the perfect combination of courage and love.A man who had seen a lot in his life and was full of positiveness. He had his own remarkable sense of humor and other kids too found him pretty amusing. The mommy was the supreme of the family of trio in her own way.... always ready with the reasoning about what is right and is supposed to be done. A mother who would go up to any lengths in order to ensure that little me stayed on that right track, did the right things and stayed away from what was wrong. Discipline was her foremost priority but yes little me and daddy would always find out some excuse or the other to conjure up some mischief and have fun all the time... and yes after 21 years when me looks back at those days, he couldn't be anymore thankful to his mommy for her tremendous care, devout nature, unflinching love and strictness that shaped him. No matter what their differences were mommy and daddy were truly in love and still are... A picture perfect childhood for me isn't it.
oh one more thing ,me is a human so he had to grow and go to the schools and colleges too... more of it in the coming episodes till then...
